Product Description
Made of a cotton crepe material, it is one of the softest light-weight fabrics for the spring and summer!
*This version of our men's kimono sleeve shirts are shorter than standard.
*Being lightweight with a cool breezy feel, we use the best Kyoto Chizimi weave for this shirt. Great for beating the heat of the summer.
Cotton crepe (chizimi), with origins dating far back into history, was introduced to Japan by Ming (Chinese) weavers in the Tensho year of the Momoyama period (circa 1573). By strongly twisting the weft yarn during weaving, it produces a material with stretch that can regain its shape even under great deformation due to stretching or likewise.
As one of the best fabrics suited to the hot and humid weather of Japan, it is fondly used in many undergarments and lounge wear of the modern day. Dye print has been applied to the cotton crepe used in this garment.
*The printed clothe used is cut differently for each piece, therefore some minor differences may exist.
