Product Description
SOU SOU’s staple chizimi dresses featuring a rounded “naginata” sleeve silhouette has an updated styling. Longer length available here.
Cotton crepe (chizimi), with origins dating far back into history, was introduced to Japan by Ming (Chinese) weavers in the Tensho year of the Momoyama period (circa 1573). By strongly twisting the weft yarn during weaving, it produces a material with stretch that can regain its shape even under great deformation due to stretching or likewise.
・Utilizes Takashima chizimi (crepe cotton)
・Due to customer feedback, these new versions have pockets on both sides
※Each piece is cut uniquely; therefore, print placement will vary.
※Due to the hand printed process of this garment, some minor difference in color saturation or print overlap may exist.
*To ensure the longevity of the chizimi’s (crepe cloth) elasticity, avoid using a clothes iron on it.
*Due to the nature of the dye used, color variation or general discoloring may occur.
*When washing by washing machine, wash alone in laundry net for initial wash.
*Avoid using dryer; air dry recommended.
*There is a chance of staining from the dye, therefore avoid washing by hand or soaking.
